Scholarship

NAWIC Chapter #96 provides scholarship funding for students entering a construction-related degree program. Applicants must pursue a career in a construction-related field, be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student, be a resident of Delaware, and at least 17 years old. If awarded, the recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

The deadline to apply for this year’s scholarship has passed. Please check back for next year’s application.

2016 & 2017 Scholarship Recipient: Mary Beth Robbins

At the May 10, 2016 Industry Appreciation Dinner, the $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Mary Beth Robbins, a senior at Lake Forest High School in Felton, DE. She is also enrolled in college-level courses at Delaware Technical and Community College. Mary Beth will be attending University of Tennessee in the fall, studying in the college’s architecture program. She also plans to minor in interior design
 
“I knew the NAWIC scholarship was such a unique program that could definitely support me through my studies in school and my career objectives,” Mary Beth said. “I couldn’t say thank you enough for all the hard work NAWIC put into raising that scholarship money and choosing to help me through my college finances. I am certainly happy and blessed to be the scholarship recipient this year.”
